LOCAL VOLUNTEERS MAKE FAMILY VISITATION DAY EXTRA SPECIAL
On the first Saturday of each month, one can find the pavillion area filled with children, their biological families or past caregivers and our staff. It is a day set aside to create spaces for our families to visit, create memories and learn together.
October began with a special day called Children’s Day, so our staff coordinated with local volunteers who came and made this family time together extra special. A special friend of the Joy Home invited her husband ‘s fraternity, The Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, to help prepare and plan this day.
Stations were set up for the young and old alike to be able to participate. Coloring, crafts, games, snacks and sharing God’s Word made the morning pass so quickly. For lunch, pupusas were prepared on a large griddle enjoyed by all. Pupusas are always a part of any casual special event. There was even cake for the birthdays recently celebrated. Then, lunch was followed by a time of worship together.
We are grateful for our local volunteers who come alongside the ministry to help us provide times for our families to connect in special and fun ways. Thank you for your heart, time and resources Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International!
