Each year, La Casa de mi Padre opens the gates to welcome our neighbors for a special time of sharing and celebrating the birth of our Savior together. It has become an event much looked forward to by all each year.

This past week, a GlobalX team from Atlanta, Georgia came to help host this Christmas celebration for over 175 families- over 600 people in all. They helped deliver food baskets to homebound neighbors, wrap gifts, decorate, crank rides, lead games and crafts and share lots of fun. The party could not end without sharing a gift, wrapped and labeled with the child’s name. Each family also received a basket filled with staple food items that were lovingly put together by local volunteers. Our neighbors are survivors; they live with some tough circumstances. But hope and love come alive when we serve together. We can show others they are seen and not forgotten – especially by our Heavenly Father.
