GOD`S WORK IN ACTION: AN IMPACTFUL WEEK OF SERVICE

As the summer team season ends, we are celebrating a wonderful time of connecting, serving and learning together with seven different teams during an eight week time period. We enjoyed making new friends and working together on projects around the farm. But one of the most rewarding outcomes was being able to witness team members grow in their relationships – with each other and with the Lord. This was no exception with the team who served alongside this past week from Sunnybrook Church in Sioux City, Idaho.

This team came with open hearts to serve wherever needed, but their leaders had been praying for times to genuinely pour into their lives. The opportunity to get away from daily routines coupled with intentional efforts to encourage vulnerability and authenticity helped to build friendships rooted in trust and genuine care. Being able to escape the cycle of building a façade and having to maintain it was freeing for so many who visited this summer, including those on this team. It is always a joy to be able to witness the ways in which God moves in hearts to draw His people closer to Him and thus closer to each other.

The week offered  times to play with the children, sweat together on a work project, meet our neighbors and find times to have very meaningful talks that opened the door for deeper conversations. Our prayer is that these shared times will be a collection of memories that serve as reminders of life change in each participant.

Take a moment and enjoy some photos from the times shared together with 22 participants this past week. (Don’t miss the special time of singing together in our chapel – the acoustics are always special in that space.) Thank you Sunnybrook for spending the week with us!
