WAYS TO SERVE
La Casa de mi Padre seeks to partner with others to be God’s hands and feet in El Salvador. We have been blessed with many teams, visitors and volunteers over the years that have worked on projects within La Casa, The Bridge, our land, our families’ homes and their communities. We have also hosted medical mission teams. Without many people joining our mission, we could not accomplish restoration in the lives of the children. We encourage you to consider partnering with us in God’s work.
Prayer Partner
October \ prayer requests:
- Pray for the children who are a part of La Casa to be able to heal, dream and pursue those dreams to be agents of change to those around them.
- Pray for our children as they wrap up their school year for 2024. Our children finish classes at the end of this month and have their final exams the first week of November. May they stay focused and finish well!
- Pray for our two quinceañeras (Margarita and Katherine) as we celebrate on October 25.
- Continue to pray for children who are reconnecting with biological family members. Although exciting, this can bring up so many emotions and new questions. Pray for hearts to be open to forgiveness when needed and a fresh start to restored relationships.
- Continue to pray for the court system as they make important life changing decisions for the children we serve and their families.
- Pray for El Salvador as we continue to have heavy rains. We are hopefully ending the rainy and hurricane season soon, but as you know, this has been a year of abundant rain. We continue to manage all of the damage created by the rains.

Mission Trip
Short-term mission teams are a tremendous blessing to our ministry, and we look forward to each group that comes.
We work on a schedule to give you the opportunity to spend time with the children of La Casa, work on a meaningful project and know about El Salvador and the culture. However, if your group feels called to plan something more structured, we’d be happy to work with your group on this.
Your project could include any of the following, or a combination, depending on our needs at the time of your visit: painting, mixing and pouring cement, cleaning and organizing, working with one our families, landscaping, repairs, construction, room design, preparing for the new school year, community outreach, etc. Teams will also have the opportunity to help us be good neighbors by visiting and praying with many of the widows and other families in the community around our farm.
Some time during the week, your teams will have a free afternoon to experience the culture of El Salvador. As we work with your group to plan your visit, we will let you know your schedule in a more defined way and provide you with a list of options that we would recommend for your free time.

Community Outreach
We work intentionally , with emphasis on projects to serve our neighbors. We seek opportunities to help us be good neighbors by visiting and praying with many of the widows and other families in the community around our farm. We help them with repair/cleaning of their houses, delivering food baskets, coordinating medical clinics every year and setting a Christmas party for the families
Volunteer
La Casa de mi Padre provides a full circle of support around our foster families, the children and their families to move towards healing, healthy relationships and reunification where possible. We do accept volunteers/interns who have a skill set that supports our Vision (To heal hearts, restore families and bring hope of a better future to children in crisis in El Salvador) and our Mission (To model a healthy home life and providing Christ-centered counseling, education, life planning, and family support). If interested in partnering with us as a volunteer, please contact communications@mfh-elsalvador.org
