WESLEYAN’S SCHOOL WEEK OF SERVICE

This past week, we shared a week of work, play and learning with junior and senior students from Wesleyan Christian School in Atlanta, GA. They brought lots of energy being a team of 21 students and 5 teachers.

During their project times mingled throughout the week, they dug up compacted dirt to lay the foundation for the road up the hill to our new offices for our Foster Care Pilot Program. That certainly is no easy task, especially in the hot, humid weather.

But more importantly, they helped us continue to strengthen relationships with our neighbors, provided play times for the children and learned about Salvadoran history as they toured an indigo farm. Some of the students bravely shared their testimonies with us using their Spanish skills. God is always working to point us all back to Him.

Well before heading our way, they collected clothing, art supplies and soccer balls to use and then donate. These were all greatly needed and appreciated. (We can’t seem to keep soccer balls with so many teenagers these days.) Thank you Wesleyan School for sharing  your heart and Spring Break with us!
