NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Last week, the children at La Casa began their school year. New backpacks, uniforms and school supplies always seem to excite the children. We are thankful for that excitement and the opportunity they have to learn in a small classroom environment aimed at meeting them where they are and moving forward. We are also thankful to have been able to start our first full year having our own accreditation with the Ministry of Education.

Beginning a new school year requires help. This year, a group from Indiana helped us get the children ready by helping to cover books with contact paper so the books will last for the whole year. They also blessed the children with new water bottles along with stickers to decorate.

This team was visiting to learn more about La Casa and ways they may be able to serve in the future. They helped out with a couple of the horseback riding lessons, visited a few neighbors as well as helping us get ready for the new school year. We are grateful for their serving hearts.

As you can see, January is always a busy time preparing for a year of learning ahead. Please join us in prayer as we start this new year in giving thanks for all who give sacrificially so that the children we serve can have the best education possible to offer better futures.
