A SUMMER OF SERVICE AND GROWTH

Youth have been given the gift of energy and willingness to be adventurous. They come with the disposition to serve, serve wholeheartedly and make a difference in this world. Those are all qualities we admire when youth come to serve alongside us. These past two weeks, two different teams from GlobalX out of Atlanta, GA demonstrated these very qualities, but they were also able to observe, experience and evaluate their own personal growth in their spiritual walk.

They had a project to focus on – helping to dig the ditches of which paving bricks would be laid to create a road up to our chapel area – and they invested in the children within La Casa and the community around our property. But they also invested in their own team and individual growth. Conversations focused on what they were experiencing and how they might apply what they were learning to their own lives.

Serving, learning and growing together – this was our focus. Thank you to all who came and engaged. We appreciate you!
