CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILIES

Every year we are reminded that Christ came not into the pretty and neatly ribboned  lives, but into the messes. Messes that are hard, painful and stinky. And He brings hope of redemption.

Our family program can be difficult, but we can also see God working to bring about redemption in children and their families. One goal of our family program is to create times when families can be together and celebrate the advances of working towards healthy relationships. That is the goal of our annual Family Christmas Party.

This past Saturday, we celebrated together. Over 100 of us gathered in the pavillion to enjoy games, a ride, awesome face painting, food, cake and fellowship. A food basket, prizes for families and a gift for each child made the day even a bit more exciting.

All of this was made possible by these local and international sponsors: MaestroCares, FIHNEC, TELUS, DIANA, BIMBO and Supertex. We are also grateful for our volunteers who made the day extra special though their support, enthusiasm and genuine hearts.
